Hispanic Heritage Month begins this weekend (Sep 15-Oct 15), and we’re beginning our celebration with behind-the-scenes art from one of the first Latina protagonists in children’s television, Dora the Explorer! (And her cousin Diego from Go, Diego, Go!)

Premiering on August 14th, 2000, Dora has since become a global pop culture phenomenon, running for 14 years on the air and inspiring a successful spin-off series, Go, Diego, Go! from 2005-2011. For many children, Dora has been one of their first introductions to learning Spanish and embracing other cultures and languages. Did Dora have a big impact on you growing up? Tell us about it!

Apparently Disney EMEA did something with a episode of Season 2 that was  banned on UK & Spain will it get banned worldwide? The episode is Lady Krillers: Where Milo convinces Tobias Trollhammer, to dress up as a woman in the newest Krillhunter-Movie

The episode was gonna air today on Disney XD Spain but it got a last minute change where it was replaced with a rerun of Teacher Feature tagged by the network as a “premiere”

Go my children from the US cartoon community! make videos about this banned episode who the folks on Germany have gotten it!

I’m not at all happy with how this storyboard turned out, there’s also a ton of parts missing that I wanted to draw, including the alternate endings.

so I’ll be attempting to work on it in January. In the mean time, I’ll be making some festive Halloween and Christmas videos instead.
